Sue Marie St Lee
Born in Chicago, Sue Marie St. Lee currently lives in Oklahoma with her husband and Manx cat. A storyteller since learning to talk, her wild imagination caused reprimands from her Mother. Her imagination persevered.
Retired from Finance Management, Sue began ghostwriting until 2019, choosing to have works published internationally, in print and online, under her own name.
Black Hare Press, Fantasia Divinity, and Spillwords Press are some of the publishers to feature Sue’s work to date.
Which other authors are you friends with, and how do they help you be a better writer?
Every single one of my author friends has been an inspiration through their writing examples and support to myself and other authors.
What’s your writing Kryptonite?
I write in my home office and have interrupting phone calls or requests that switch my focus to an entirely different matter.
If you could tell your younger writing self anything, what would it be?
“Dear Younger Self, You are on the right track. Keep writing!”
What kind of research do you do?
I Google every question I have, ranging from historic societies to mathematical possibilities.
What one thing would/did you give up to be a writer?
I gave up nothing to be a writer; it is who I am.
What inspires you?
My dreams often present with curious situations which turn into stories. Nature and animals feed my imagination.
What’s brewing?
I have several fantasy projects underway at this time as well as a memoir.
